How to Use the Day Trade Scanner

  1. Open the Market Scanner and select the Day Trade tab.
  2. Stocks are ranked by Setup Grade (A+ to D). A+ means all 5 conditions are met: price above VWAP, EMA9 above EMA20, RSI in healthy zone (45–65), RVOL above 1.5×, and price above SMA20.
  3. Click any stock to open the Stock Analysis page with full intraday breakdown, entry price, stop loss (−1.5× ATR), and take profit levels (+2× ATR, +3× ATR).
  4. Use the RSI Gauge and MACD chart to confirm momentum before entering a trade.

Technical Indicators Explained

  • VWAP (Volume Weighted Average Price) — The most important intraday level. Above VWAP = bulls in control. Below VWAP = bears in control.
  • RSI (Relative Strength Index) — Measures momentum. 30–70 is healthy. Below 30 = oversold bounce zone. Above 70 = overbought, expect pullback.
  • MACD — Trend and momentum indicator. A bullish crossover (MACD line crossing above signal line) is a strong buy signal.
  • EMA (Exponential Moving Average) — EMA9 above EMA20 confirms short-term uptrend. Used for day trade entry timing.
  • SMA50 / SMA200 — Medium and long-term trend lines. SMA50 above SMA200 = Golden Cross (bullish long-term signal).
  • ATR (Average True Range) — Measures volatility. Used to calculate stop loss and take profit distances.
  • RVOL (Relative Volume) — Today's volume vs. 20-day average. RVOL above 1.5× means institutional participation — moves are more reliable.
  • OBV (On-Balance Volume) — Leading indicator. Rising OBV while price is flat = institutions quietly accumulating shares before a breakout.
  • CMF (Chaikin Money Flow) — Measures money flowing into or out of a stock. CMF above +0.15 = strong buying pressure.
  • Bollinger Bands — Price at lower band = oversold mean-reversion opportunity. Tight bands = squeeze, big move incoming.
